Helping Hand Fund
The Helping Hand Fund of the Wethersfield/Rocky Hill Rotary Club was initially founded in 1949 by members of the Wethersfield Rotary Club. Incorporated initially as the Helping Hand Fund of the Rotary Club of Wethersfield, Incorporated, it is now known legally by its original name. The Fund is a separate Sec. 501(c)(3) organization and qualifies as a tax-exempt charitable entity recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.
Al Knapp Fund
The late Al Knapp, Fire Chief of the Town of Wethersfield, was a long time member of the Wethersfield-Rocky Hill Rotary Club. Upon his death, his family and members of the Club established a Fire Science Scholarship in his honor and memory. Unlike the Fund’s regular scholarships, the Knapp Award is a one-time stipend. It is awarded to a student who is interested in pursuing a career involving some aspect of fire science.
